When a burial is booked, the system builds the task list based on the interment type, the section where the burial will take place, and the service elements the family has requested, then assigns the work order to the designated crew. The tasks populate with the information the crew needs: grave dimensions, equipment requirements, setup instructions, and the service time they are working toward. No one in the office needs to create the work order manually or communicate the details verbally to the field team.
Changes to the burial schedule propagate to the associated work orders automatically. If a service time moves, the work order deadline adjusts. If a burial is canceled, the associated tasks are closed. CemSites keeps the work order tied to the scheduling record it originated from, so the two systems cannot drift apart as the day’s schedule evolves.
